For Immediate Release
Dylan Curtis, Averie Hubbs, Sarah Leding, Rebecca Leming, Andrew Miller, Gracyn Newcity, Joshua Post and Tucker Vasquez, seventh grade students at Union Christian Academy, have been invited to join the Duke University Talent Identification Program’s prestigious 7thGrade Talent Search.
Each year, Duke ITP identifies a group of academically talented students in the United States based on their exceptional grade-level standardized test scores. Only those who score at or above the 95thpercentile qualify. Those students are invited to participate in the 7thGrade Talent Search and to take the ACT or SAT, which are designed for college-bound eleventh and twelfth graders. Taking an above-grade-level test is an experience that allows these gifted seventh graders to more accurately gauge their academic abilities and potential, as they need more advance examinations than they find in their grade level.
Participants in the 7thGrade Talent Search also receive a variety of support services and gain access to research and other information about using their academic abilities more effectively.
Union Christian Academy is a fully accredited Pre-k through 12thgrade school serving the Arkansas River Valley. Union is located at 4201 Windsor Drive in Fort Smith. For more information about the school you can visit online at www.UnionEagles.org or call the administration offices at 479.783.7327
